The permanent 12^th Tactical Fighter Wing memorial was established at the War Memorial Park at Fremont County Airport, Cañon City, Colorado, in 2001 and a dedication ceremony was held on 16 September 2001.

Since then, a few former 12^th TFW members have gathered in Cañon City each year. These gatherings have consisted of socializing, touring the area, and an informal "re-dedication" ceremony at the memorial park.

The 12TFW Association held a reunion in Denver 18-22 September 2008. On 19 September, those attending the reunion travelled to Cañon City to participate in a re-dedication program.

An informal re-dedication/mini-reunion is again planned at Cañon City this year, 22-26 Aug 12. As has been the tradition, days will be spent touring and shopping and socializing, and evening dinners will be enjoyed at our favored restaurants.
