Relative to the F-4 Phantom II, 12 TFW, or Vietnam

Aircrews of the 12th Tactical Fighter Wing, flying F-4C Phantoms in Vietnam since November 2, 1965, have now flown over 20,849 combat sorties against the Communists in North and South Vietnam. That figure is the total logged by Wing Operations through November 7. Intelligence reports compiled throughout a year of combat operations show an impressive total of destruction inflicted against the enemy. All results are confirmed from 12th TFW air strikes with bombs and 20 mm cannon ammunition:
10,263 enemy structures have been destroyed and
5,565 damaged.
158 gun positions have been blown up and 47
have been damaged.
121 sampans sunk and 57 damaged.
45 bridges have been destroyed and 92 damaged.
379 trucks have been destroyed and 254 damaged.
1,360 enemy troops have been killed by air strikes.
And hits of target areas have caused 662 secondary explosions of fuel and ammunition dumps.
